Following consultations with partners, exhibitors, but also visitors, producers in the bakery, pastry, ice cream and HoReCa industry, given the promising evolution of the situation caused by the pandemic, the organizers are planning to organize the 12th edition of the GastroPan exhibition between 21-23 September 2021, in the Expo Arad exhibition center, in Romania. The new date was set so that the exhibition can take place in the classic format, with physical presence, as soon as the restrictions imposed by the Romanian authorities will be lifted.

In the context in which the coronavirus pandemic has marked deeply many sectors, including the bakery, confectionery, ice cream and HoReCa industries, the purpose of meeting at Expo GastroPan is to facilitate the economic recovery of these sectors.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, all economic actors have worked hard to overcome these hard times, especially the bakery, confectionery, ice cream and HoReCa workers, which is why the organizers have tried to find the best way for market innovations to get to entrepreneurs who need them. Setting the date of GastroPan exhibition comes as a result of a long-awaited decision. Numerous visitors, professionals from these sectors, competitors and over 100 exhibitors, suppliers who already have registered to the exhibition, followed the evolution of the situation regarding the organization of the greatest international exhibition for the bakery, pastry, confectionery, gastronomy, ice cream, coffee and HoReCa sectors in Southeastern Europe.

The organizers of the exhibition carried out an opinion poll among GastroPan participants, which proposed solutions to the organization of the event in the current context: digital exhibition and/or live exhibition, with physical presence. The proposed options have been designed taking into account the current situation defined by restrictions, the unpredictable evolution of the pandemic and the prospects of the international context in the field of exhibition organizing. After analyzing all the answers received from partners, exhibitors, but also visitors, producers, the organizers identified that there is a great demand for organizing the live exhibition, with physical presence, but in full safety of all participants. Most exhibitors have expressed their intention to participate in GastroPan live this fall. Feedback received from Romanian producers shows that operators of the industries also hope that the relaxation of restrictions imposed by the Romanian authorities will allow demand to meet supply. Both have long been waiting for such a B2B meeting, offered by the GastroPan exhibition, the main source of innovation, technology and inspiration for entrepreneurs, managers and specialists in Romania.

For 12 years GastroPan has been the place where the essence of professional technology and business solutions gather, and despite the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, organizers want to continue to do their best to keep the event a source of inspiration for those who want to start, develop or relaunch a business in the bakery, confectionery and HoReCa sector.
